It may sound dramatic, but I would not survive my early morning study routine without my heated blanket! I am usually in the office around 5 to 5:30 AM and when I first sit down to start studying or working I’m fine temperature wise, but 30 minutes in and I’m freezing. Of course though, if I cranked up the heat in our house (especially in the summer) while I would be VERY happy, my husband who is still sleeping at that point would NOT!

Is A Heated Blanket Worth It?
So my solution has been my heated blanket that I keep in a little fabric bin right under my desk. It is SO old at this point and somehow ended up with brown burnt spots on it from maybe leaving the room and it still being on… but I still use it every single day. I have also had it for probably around two years, so some wear and tear is to be expected! I personally think the “Throw” size which is 50×60 inches is the perfect size.
A Little Downside To My Heated Blanket
Since I loved my heated blanket so much, I got a second one last year and I don’t remember why I thought I would use it on our bed? Maybe I was getting really cold in the evenings or something? So I got a Queen size and the biggest downfall is the wires! It has TWO looooong wires that plug into the blanket and have their own control box to set the heat level. Which wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world if you used it on your bed every night so it was always in one general place anyway, but I think a heated blanket is way too hot to use on your bed! I ended up putting the big one downstairs to use on the couch when I’m cold, so I really wish it was another “Throw” size heated blanket because the wires are an absolute pain!
So when it comes to a Throw size heated blanket I am a HUGE fan. This is the ultimate gift to get for yourself or give someone else who runs cold and loves cozy study sessions or is just always the opposite temperature as their partner or roommates!

As a premed student, theres a lot that needs to get done which is why I’m an early bird and try to wake up before my classes start to get some word done. However, sometimes it’s hard to get off my comfy bed because of one reason…the cold.
At home, I would study near the fire place sipping a warm coffee, but now as a college freshman, I miss the comfort of my home, especially during the winter season. I couldn’t find the perfect blanket that would keep me warm: it would either be too short, or not that fluffy. I personally love fluffy blankets and this blanket is not only that, but is also heated. I feel like this blanket will definitely help me during the cold days and will make me feel at ease and warm while studying.
