To do this day I am still OBSESSED with my engagement ring. My husband and I got married last August and 10 days later I started my 3rd year clinical rotations. The last thing I wanted to do was stick it in a drawer all day every time I was in procedures or had a surgical rotation. I’m pretty sure I hadn’t even gotten back in town yet before I was researching ways to hold my ring safely while at the hospital. I hadn’t even realized that a “ring holder necklace” had existed. Once I saw a few pop up, I knew that would be the perfect solution, but the ones I saw initially were tad ugly in my opinion. I kept searching and then good ol’ Etsy came in for the win with SO many great options!

The Cutest Ring Holder Necklace
I was so happy when I found the wave design for my current ring holder necklace that I now have. George and I met in San Diego, then 4 years later he proposed there AND we got married right by the ocean on the Oregon Coast ♥️ so it was perfect.
I think my other top two faves are this mountain design.
I go to medical school in Colorado, so this also would have been very fitting!
And then of course you could go with the stethoscope design.
As far as color and length, I went with the gold option in the 16″ length and that worked perfect! Of course, color is just personal preference but for the length the 16″ I felt like it was long enough to not feel like a choker and slide the ring over easily without looking. However, it is short enough to still be seen when when I wore it with scrubs during surgery.
How to Put Your Ring on a Ring Holder Necklace
I saw in one of the Etsy reviews that they had to google how to put their ring on their necklace and I remember being confused as well!
Very simple once you get used to it! I highly recommend getting a ring holder necklace for yourself or as a gift if you have clinical or a job where you want to where your ring, but at some points during the day need a safe place to hold it. I love mine so much!
